As we enter 2026, January is a month filled with many goals and aspirations. Some are

attainable, some are bold, and others require effort beyond what we see in the present moment to pull off.

What are you looking to achieve in the new year?

Here at Care Package Inbound, our goals and aspirations are simple, but require a village of

people around us to believe in the same mission of: restoring hope and providing dignity to

those in the foster care system through care package backpacks full of basic necessities

needed in the first 48 hours of care.

2025 was a year full of firsts, but also a year of reaffirmation of continual support from existing relationships for why the mission of Care Package Inbound matters. Along with the 420 backpacks between two events at Brew Haha and the Lenexa Rotary Club, we are grateful for the support of the Della Lambs 3rd grade basketball team helping us sort inventory for our packing events. In early November, we were so blessed to receive $500 in dental products for our kids and teens in foster care. Defining dignity isn’t just about restoring someone’s story spiritually and emotionally, but showing them they deserve honor and respect, helping them to look their best physically as well. Both of those generous donations of time and resources will help lay the groundwork for the nine events we plan to have next year.

With an increased effort and focus providing diaper bags to our infants through CMH, 2026 will tell a story of hope through these backpacks for our next generation of individuals.

In order to help continue to spread the message, in March, Care Package Inbound is starting its very own podcast called Packed with Purpose! In this podcast, we will talk with organization leaders, personal stories of people impacted by the foster care system, and other critical information that you need so you too can make an informed and impactful difference in the community around you! Be on the lookout for some promos in January, with the first 3 episodes set to debut in March!
